Tiago is a freelance multidisciplinary experience designer/architect, endlessly curious, elevating creative journeys for teams and clients, bringing their visions to life.

I create atmospheres that resonate with contemporary culture, using a playful, low-ego approach. I connect easily with others and love diving deep into bold ideas, fully immersing myself in the design process with like-minded people.

My journey has been one of constant experimentation, diving into various fields and cross-pollinating concepts. As an architect in Portugal, I built a solid foundation in hard work and consistent vision. I'm kind, culturally sensitive, sharp, and believe in balancing creativity with mindfulness.

Genuine connections matter to me, and I value the time others share. I strive to bring this awareness to my projects by being empathetic, focusing on the emotional journey, and keeping communication real, concise, and authentic.

Footage and photography excerpts from projects.

Based in Amsterdam, I have produced and designed experiences across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Sweden, Honduras, Guatemala, Burkina Faso, Indonesia, Japan, UAE, and KSA. I have collaborated with many companies, most recently as a senior designer with Tellart.

Bold ideas often begin small and come from unexpected places. I believe this happens best with a diverse and supportive team that embraces experimentation.

My diverse background has given me a broad skill set, allowing me to connect with everyone from carpenters to creative technologists and directors of large institutions.

Known for my quick thinking and rapid solution iterations, I've taken on senior creative direction roles but always focus on elevating projects beyond titles. My toolkit includes hand sketching, Rhino, SketchUp, Cinema 4D, and DaVinci Resolve. All sketches and 3D images on this website are my work, unless otherwise noted.

Happening on most creative journey processes

Research

Exploring together possible routes that address the client’s brief. This translates to doing research, short interviews, workshops and moodboards all summarised for presentation decks.

Concept Development

After defining one big idea with the client, we develop it further to discover feasible solutions that fit the schedule and budget. This process results in the first sketches, 3D models, and material research to get an idea of the look and feel.

Design Overview

With a clear direction agreed upon with the client, it's time to work on all practicalities. This includes tryouts, briefing collaborators, creating visuals for presentations, and discussing technical solutions.

Design Detailing

To facilitate procurement I help creating a production bible with all the relevant aspects of the design. This helps the client and teams to have more control over the project with contractors.
